{"abstract":"Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on December 21, 2000, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. Sec. 1337, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, of Urbana, Illinois, and Competitive Technologies, Inc., of Fairfield, Connecticut. Supplements to the complaint were filed on December 28, 2000 and January 3, 2001. The complaint, as supplemented, alleges violations of section 337 in the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain plasma display panels and products containing same by reason of infringement of claims 22-26, 28-33, 36, and 38-41 of U.S. Letters Patent 5,081,400 and claims 10-11 of U.S. Letters Patent 4,866,349. The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by subsection (a)(2) of section 337. The complainants request that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a permanent exclusion order and permanent cease and desist orders.","action":"Institution of investigation pursuant to 19 U.S.C.
