{"abstract":"In response to a request from a respondent in the original investigation, Kawasaki Steel Corporation (\"Kawasaki\"), the Department of Commerce (\"Department\") is conducting an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel sheet and strip in coils (\"SSSS\") from Japan. This review covers imports of subject merchandise from Kawasaki. The period of review is January 4, 1999 through June 30, 2000. The Department preliminarily determines that SSSS from Japan has been sold in the United States at less than normal value during the period of review. If these preliminary results are adopted in our final results of this administrative review, we will instruct the U.S. Customs Service to assess antidumping duties equal to the difference between export price and normal value. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results.
