{"abstract":"In accordance with the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (\"CFMA\"), the Securities and Exchange Commission (\"SEC\" or \"Commission\") is publishing for comment proposed rule amendments and a new rule under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (\"Exchange Act\"). The proposed rule amendments and new rule are designed to clarify the disclosures broker-dealers effecting transactions in security futures products in customer futures accounts must make in the confirmations sent to customers regarding those transactions. The amendments would exclude certain broker-dealers effecting transactions in security futures products in customer futures accounts from the SEC's confirmation disclosure rule, provided that the transaction confirmations for these accounts disclose specific information and notify customers that certain additional information would be available upon written request.
