{"abstract":"This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Boeing Model 737-200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes, that requires replacement of certain repairs in certain fuselage lap joints with improved repairs. This amendment also requires a high frequency eddy current inspection to find cracking of the repairs of the lower skin at the lower row of fasteners in the lap joints of the fuselage, and repair of any cracking found. This action is necessary to find and fix premature cracking of certain lap joint repairs, which could result in rapid decompression of the airplane.
