{"abstract":"The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) proposes to amend its regulations pertaining to the foreign operations of national banks, and of Federal branches and agencies of foreign banks operating in the United States, in both cases generally to make regulatory requirements more streamlined and risk-based. The proposed rule would clarify certain regulatory definitions and simplify approval procedures for foreign banks seeking to establish Federal branches and agencies in the United States.
