{"abstract":"This document denies a petition for reconsideration of a final rule issued by NHTSA with respect to the reimbursement of costs incurred by owners of motor vehicles or motor vehicle equipment to remedy of safety-related defects or noncompliances with a Federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS). That final rule implemented section 6(b) of the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act.
