{"abstract":"The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Model A330 and A340 series airplanes. This AD requires regularly performing a complete electrical shutdown of the airplane to reset the integrated standby instrument system (ISIS). This AD also provides an optional terminating action. This AD is prompted by reports indicating that an airplane lost the ISIS, then, during the same flight, lost all electronic instrument system (EIS) display units.
