{"abstract":"The General Services Administration (GSA) is requesting comments from both Government and industry on whether the General Services Administration Acquisition Regulation (GSAR) should be revised to include a waiver of consequential damages for contracts awarded for commercial items under the FAR. GSA is also requesting comments on whether \"post award\" audit provisions should be included in its Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) contracts and Governmentwide acquisition contracts (GWACs). GSA is further amending the correction notice published in the Federal Register at 70 FR 13005, March 17, 2005, to add the following: In addition, GSA is interested in receiving comments on whether the Examination of Records clause at GSAR 552.215-71 should be modified to reinstate post-award access to and the right to examine records to verify that preaward/modification pricing, sales, or other data related to the supplies or services offered under a contract which formed the basis for an award/modification was accurate, current, and complete. The notice published in the Federal Register at 70 FR 12167, March 11, 2005, is amended to extend the public comment date to May 10, 2005, and to allow interested parties to submit presentations by April 7, 2005.","action":"Correction to advance notice of proposed rulemaking and notice of public meeting.","agencies":[{"raw_name":"GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION","name":"General Services Administration","id":210,"url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/agencies/general-services-administration","json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/agencies/210","parent_id":null,"slug":"general-services-administration"}],"body_html_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/html/2005/04/12/05-7039.html","cfr_references":[{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":546,"title":48},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":552,"title":48}],"citation":"70 FR 19051","comment_url":null,"comments_close_on":null,"correction_of":null,"corrections":[],"dates":"Comment Date: Interested parties should submit comments on or before May 10, 2005, to be considered in the formulation of a proposed rulemaking.","disposition_notes":null,"docket_ids":["GSAR ANPR 2005-N01"],"dockets":[],"document_number":"05-7039","effective_on":null,"end_page":19052,"executive_order_notes":null,"executive_order_number":null,"explanation":null,"full_text_xml_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/xml/2005/04/12/05-7039.xml","html_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2005/04/12/05-7039/general-services-administration-acquisition-regulation-waiver-of-consequential-damages-and-post","images":{},"images_metadata":{},"json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/documents/05-7039?publication_date=2005-04-12","mods_url":"https://www.govinfo.gov/metadata/granule/FR-2005-04-12/05-7039/mods.xml","not_received_for_publication":null,"page_length":2,"page_views":{"count":26,"last_updated":"2026-04-04 18:15:03 -0400"},"pdf_url":"https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2005-04-12/pdf/05-7039.pdf","presidential_document_number":null,"proclamation_number":null,"public_inspection_pdf_url":null,"publication_date":"2005-04-12","raw_text_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/text/2005/04/12/05-7039.txt","regulation_id_number_info":{},"regulation_id_numbers":[],"regulations_dot_gov_info":{"checked_regulationsdotgov_at":"2011-11-12T15:52:55Z"},"regulations_dot_gov_url":null,"significant":null,"signing_date":null,"start_page":19051,"subtype":null,"title":"General Services Administration Acquisition Regulation; Waiver of Consequential Damages and “Post Award” Audit Provisions (Correction)","toc_doc":"Commercial item contracts, consequential damages waiver and post award audit provisions; correction","toc_subject":"Acquisition regulations:","topics":[],"type":"Proposed Rule","volume":70}
