{"abstract":"The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or Agency) is withdrawing approval of the new drug applications (NDAs) for ADVICOR (niacin extended-release (ER) and lovastatin) tablets and SIMCOR (niacin ER and simvastatin) tablets. The holder of these two applications, AbbVie Inc., has requested that FDA withdraw approval of the applications and has waived its opportunity for a hearing.
