{"abstract":"On July 8, 2016, the Secretary of Homeland Security (Secretary) extended the designation of El Salvador for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for a period of 18 months by notice in the Federal Register. Through the same notice, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) automatically extended for 6 months the validity of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) issued under the TPS designation of El Salvador with a September 9, 2016 expiration date printed on the card. These EADs are currently valid through March 9, 2017.
