{"abstract":"The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE) proposes to clarify the regulations about notifying regulatory authorities of possible violations of any requirement of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). This action would streamline the process for OSMRE's coordination with regulatory authorities in order to minimize duplication of inspections, enforcement, and administration of SMCRA.
