{"abstract":"The Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, is amending the Formula Grants Program implementing regulation authorized under title II, part B, of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDP Act) and promulgated in 1996, to remove sections and/or provisions that were rendered obsolete by amendments made to the JJDP Act in 2002 or in 2018; are redundant; or are ultra vires. Additional technical corrections reflect an editorial reclassification of the United States Code, implemented on September 1, 2017, that reorganized certain existing provisions of the United States Code into a new title, and citations are updated to reflect sections of the Act that were re-numbered by the 2002 amendments.
