{"abstract":"We, the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE), are approving an amendment to the Montana abandoned mine land (AML) reclamation plan (Montana Plan) under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA or the Act). Montana proposed to repeal and replace its existing AML Plan in response to OSMRE's request to amend the Plan and to improve the readability and efficiency of the document.
