{"abstract":"The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a revision to the New York State Implementation Plan (SIP) as a SIP- strengthening measure that is expected to further control emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NO<INF>x</INF>) to contribute to attainment and maintenance of ozone standards. This SIP strengthening measure goes beyond what has already been approved as satisfying the RACT requirements for the 2008 ozone NAAQS. The EPA is approving a SIP revision of a New York regulation that lowers allowable NO<INF>x</INF> emissions from simple cycle and regenerative combustion turbines during the ozone season.
