{"abstract":"OSHA is initiating rulemaking to protect indoor and outdoor workers from hazardous heat and is interested in obtaining additional information about the extent and nature of hazardous heat in the workplace and the nature and effectiveness of interventions and controls used to prevent heat-related injury and illness. This ANPRM provides an overview of the problem of heat stress in the workplace and of measures that have been taken to prevent it. This ANPRM also seeks information on issues that OSHA can consider in developing the standard, including the scope of the standard and the types of controls that might be required.","action":"Advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM).","agencies":[{"raw_name":"DEPARTMENT OF LABOR","name":"Labor Department","id":271,"url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/agencies/labor-department","json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/agencies/271","parent_id":null,"slug":"labor-department"},{"raw_name":"Occupational Safety and Health Administration","name":"Occupational Safety and Health Administration","id":386,"url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/agencies/occupational-safety-and-health-administration","json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/agencies/386","parent_id":271,"slug":"occupational-safety-and-health-administration"}],"body_html_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/html/2021/10/27/2021-23250.html","cfr_references":[{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1910,"title":29},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1915,"title":29},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1917,"title":29},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1918,"title":29},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1926,"title":29},{"chapter":null,"citation_url":null,"part":1928,"title":29}],"citation":"86 FR 59309","comment_url":null,"comments_close_on":"2021-12-27","correction_of":null,"corrections":[],"dates":"Submit comments on or before December 27, 2021.","disposition_notes":null,"docket_ids":["Docket No. OSHA-2021-0009"],"dockets":[{"supporting_documents":[{"title":"Zhang, H., Guo, F., Liu, K., Wang, J., Dong, J., & Zhu, P.
