{"abstract":"We, NMFS, announce the revised taxonomy of Manta birostris (giant manta ray) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (ESA). We are revising the Enumeration of threatened marine and anadromous species for the giant manta ray to reflect the scientifically accepted taxonomy and nomenclature of this species. We revise the scientific name of the species to Mobula birostris.
