{"abstract":"The Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended (\"EPCA\"), prescribes energy conservation standards for various consumer products and certain commercial and industrial equipment, including consumer clothes dryers. In this notice of proposed rulemaking (\"NOPR\"), the U.S. Department of Energy (\"DOE\") proposes amended energy conservation standards for consumer clothes dryers identical to those set forth in a direct final rule published elsewhere in this issue of the Federal Register.
