{"abstract":"In this document, the Bureau of Prisons is revising its rule on Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Inmate Work Programs (formerly entitled UNICOR Inmate Work Programs). This amendment reorganizes into one part existing provisions on inmate hiring procedures, pay, and scholarship and incentive awards programs. It updates Bureau policy by adding provisions on position classification and recruitment, physical and medical work limitations, inmate worker standards, performance appraisal, dismissal procedures, benefit retention, and training programs.
