{"abstract":"The Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended, (the Act or EPCA) establishes energy efficiency standards and test procedures for commercial and industrial electric motors. EPCA also directs the Department of Energy (DOE or Department) to establish efficiency labeling requirements and compliance certification requirements for motors.
