{"abstract":"The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is amending its regulations on the protection of public health and safety from activities conducted at a geologic repository operations area (GROA) before permanent closure. In particular, the final rule addresses the measures that are required to provide defense in depth against the consequences of ``design basis events.''
