{"abstract":"This final rule amends the regulations that set forth the procedures to be followed by the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) staff regarding the classification, downgrading, declassification and safeguarding of national security information. In addition, this final rule lists OMB staff who are authorized to originally classify information at the top secret and secret level. These regulations also contain the procedures to be used by OMB when other government agencies and the public request that classified information in OMB files be reviewed for possible declassification and release.
