{"abstract":"The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is amending the regulations governing service fellowships by revising the current authority citation, extending the time limitation on initial appointments from 2 years to 5 years, permitting extensions of appointments for up to 5 years rather than year-to-year, and deleting obsolete references to the Surgeon General.
