{"abstract":"The interim rule amends the regulations of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Service) to grant, on a temporary basis, authorization to the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) to issue certificates to foreign health care workers in the occupations of occupational therapy and physical therapy. This rule also grants the Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy (FCCPT) the authority to issue certificates to foreign-trained physical therapists. The rule is written in response to formal requests by CGFNS and FCCPT to obtain permission to issue certificates to foreign-trained workers coming to the United States in the occupations of occupational therapy and physical therapy on a permanent basis.
