{"abstract":"The Securities and Exchange Commission (Commission) is publishing for comment a proposal to allow registered transfer agents to use electronic storage media to produce and preserve the records that they are required to retain. In addition, the Commission is proposing to expressly allow registered transfer agents to use microfiche in addition to microfilm for record retention purposes.
