{"abstract":"NMFS has received a petition to list 18 species of Puget Sound marine fishes and to designate critical habitat under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The petitioned fishes include 1 herring, 1 cod, 1 hake, 1 pollock, and 14 rockfish species. NMFS determines that the petition presents substantial scientific information indicating that the petitioned action may be warranted for seven of the species: Pacific herring, Pacific cod, Pacific hake, walleye pollock, brown rockfish, copper rockfish, and quillback rockfish.
