{"abstract":"This proposed regulation, presented as a common rule, provides for the enforcement of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended (``Title IX''), by the agencies identified above. Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. The promulgation of this proposed regulation will provide guidance to recipients of Federal financial assistance who administer education programs or activities. The provisions of this proposed regulation will also promote consistent and adequate enforcement of Title IX by the agencies identified above.","action":"Notice of proposed
