{"abstract":"These special conditions are issued for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation Model MD-17 airplane. This airplane incorporates novel and unusual design features, including the use of power-augmented-lift from externally blown flaps, for which the applicable airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards.
