{"abstract":"Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the General Services Administration will be submitting to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request to review and approve a renewal of a currently approved information collection requirement regarding the Art-in-Architecture Program National Artist Registry form. The clearance currently expires on July 31, 2009. The Art-in-Architecture Program is the result of a policy decision made in January 1963 by GSA Administrator Bernard L. Boudin who had served on the Ad Hoc Committee on Federal Office Space in 1961-1962. The program has been modified over the years, most recently in 1996 when a renewed focus on commissioning works of art that are an integral part of the building's architecture and adjacent landscape was instituted. The program continues to commission works of art from living American artists. One-half of one percent of the estimated construction cost of new or substantially renovated Federal buildings and U.S. courthouses is allocated for commissioning works of art. Public comments are particularly invited on: Whether this collection of information is necessary and whether it will have practical utility; whether our estimate of the public burden of this collection of information is accurate and based on valid assumptions and methodology; and ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected.","action":"Notice of request for comments regarding a renewal to an existing OMB clearance.","agencies":[{"raw_name":"GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION","name":"General Services Administration","id":210,"url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/agencies/general-services-administration","json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/agencies/210","parent_id":null,"slug":"general-services-administration"}],"body_html_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/html/2009/06/30/E9-15420.html","cfr_references":[],"citation":"74 FR 31278","comment_url":null,"comments_close_on":"2009-08-31","correction_of":null,"corrections":[],"dates":"Submit comments on or before: August 31, 2009.","disposition_notes":null,"docket_ids":["OMB Control No. 3090-0274"],"dockets":[],"document_number":"E9-15420","effective_on":null,"end_page":31279,"executive_order_notes":null,"executive_order_number":null,"full_text_xml_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/xml/2009/06/30/E9-15420.xml","html_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2009/06/30/E9-15420/public-buildings-service-information-collection-art-in-architecture-program-national-artist-registry","images":{},"images_metadata":{},"json_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/documents/E9-15420?publication_date=2009-06-30","mods_url":"https://www.govinfo.gov/metadata/granule/FR-2009-06-30/E9-15420/mods.xml","not_received_for_publication":null,"page_length":2,"page_views":{"count":50,"last_updated":"2026-10-23 08:15:04 -0400"},"pdf_url":"https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2009-06-30/pdf/E9-15420.pdf","presidential_document_number":null,"proclamation_number":null,"public_inspection_pdf_url":null,"publication_date":"2009-06-30","raw_text_url":"https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/full_text/text/2009/06/30/E9-15420.txt","regulation_id_number_info":{},"regulation_id_numbers":[],"regulations_dot_gov_info":{},"regulations_dot_gov_url":null,"significant":null,"signing_date":null,"start_page":31278,"subtype":null,"title":"Public Buildings Service; Information Collection; Art-in-Architecture Program National Artist Registry","toc_doc":"Agency Information Collection Activities; Proposals, Submissions, and Approvals","toc_subject":null,"topics":[],"type":"Notice","volume":74}
