The Department of the Treasury, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law 104-13 (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms within the Department of the Treasury is soliciting comments concerning the Schedule of Tobacco Products, Cigarette Papers or Tubes Withdrawn From the Market.

Abstract: ATF F 3069 (5200.7) is used by persons who intend to withdraw tobacco products from the market for which the tax has already been paid or determined. The form describes the products that are to be withdrawn to determine the amount of tax to be claimed later as a tax credit or refund. The form also notifies ATF when withdrawal or destruction is to take place, and ATF may elect to supervise withdrawal or destruction.
