Description: The purpose of the Coke Oven Emissions standard at 29 CFR 1910.1029 and its information collection requirements is to provide protection for employees from the adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to coke oven emissions. Employers must monitor employee exposure, reduce employee exposure to within permissible exposure limits, and provide employees with medical examinations and training.
