The Commission announces the next meeting date and agenda of its Consumer Advisory Committee (“Committee”). The purpose of the Committee is to make recommendations to the Commission regarding consumer issues within the jurisdiction of the Commission and to facilitate the participation of all consumers in proceedings before the Commission.
The meeting of the Committee will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Commission's Headquarters Building, Room TW-C305.

This is a summary of the Commission's document DA 10-1937 released October 7, 2010, announcing the agenda, date and time of the Committee's next meeting. At its November 10, 2010 meeting, the Committee is expected to consider a recommendation regarding a pilot project aimed at identifying methods and strategies to improve federal/state collaboration on consumer complaint processing. A 2nd Start Printed Page 63831recommendation on consumer bill shock may also be considered. The Committee is also expected to receive updates relative to prior recommendations on matters including National Broadband Plan implementation, Universal service, and consumer information disclosures. Reports will also be received regarding activities of the Disability Rights Office and other consumer topics. A limited amount of time on the agenda will be available for oral comments from the public attending at the meeting site.
Meetings are open to the public and are broadcast live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCC Live web page at http://www.fcc.gov/live/.
The Committee is organized under, and operates in accordance with, the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C., App. 2 (1988). A notice of each meeting will be published in the Federal Register at least fifteen (15) days in advance of the meeting. Records will be maintained of each meeting and made available for public inspection. The meeting site is fully accessible to people using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Sign language interpreters, open captioning, assistive listening devices, and Braille copies of the agenda and handouts will be provided on site.
