The Department of the Treasury, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. Currently, the IRS is soliciting comments concerning a notice regarding repayment of a buyout prior to re-employment with the Federal Government.
Written comments should be received on or before September 8, 2014 to be assured of consideration.

Title: Notice Regarding Repayment of a Buyout Prior to Re-employment with the Federal Government.

Form Number: Form 12311.
Abstract: This form requests applicants to certify if they ever worked for the Federal Government and if they received a Buyout within the last 5 years. This is to ensure that applicants who meet the criteria are counseled that they are required to pay back the entire Buyout prior to entering on duty with the IRS.
Current Actions: There are no changes being made to these forms at this time.
Type of Review: Extension of a currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Individuals or households and Federal Government.
Estimated Number of Responses: 33,085.
Estimated Time per Response: 5 minutes.
Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 2,757.
