Commission on the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution

The Commission on the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution was established as an independent advisory commission by an Act of September 29, 1983 (Pub. L. 98-101).

The Commission was created to plan and develop appropriate activities to commemorate the bicentennial of the signing of the Constitution, September 17, 1787, the formation of the three branches of government, and the Bill of Rights.
The Commission was terminated on December 31, 1991.
