Proposed Collection: Title: 2000 California Health Interview Survey Cancer Control Topical Module (CHIS CCTM). Type of Information Request: New. Need and Use of Information Collection: The CHIS CCTM will assist NCI in the measurement of the burden of cancer in the population of the United States. In addition, CHIS CCTM will use small area data for tracking emerging trends in cancer prevention and control at a geographic level that will impact future national trends. They survey will provide county-specific estimates for small racial/ethnic groups concentrated there. Data will be collected from July-December 2000, from approximately 55,000 respondents. Frequency of Response: One-time study. Affected Public: Individuals or households. Type of Respondents: Persons 18 yrs of age or older. The annual reporting burden is as follows: Estimated Number of Respondents: 55,000; Estimated Number of Responses per Respondent: 1; Average Burden Hours per Response: .2171; and Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours Requested: 11,962. There are no Capital Costs, Operating Costs, and/or Maintenance Costs to report.
