The Department of the Treasury, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed and continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law 104-13. Today, the Office of Thrift Supervision within the Department of the Treasury solicits comments on the Capital Distributions package.

Abstract: This package provides uniform treatment for capital distributions made by savings associations held by holding companies. It ensures adequate supervision of distribution of capital by those savings associations, thereby fostering safety and soundness of the thrift industry.
