While every effort has been made to ensure that the material on FederalRegister.gov is accurately displayed, consistent with the official SGML-based PDF version on govinfo.gov, those relying on it for legal research should verify their results against an official edition of the Federal Register. Until the ACFR grants it official status, the XML rendition of the daily Federal Register on FederalRegister.gov does not provide legal notice to the public or judicial notice to the courts.

The Department of Commerce, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing information collections, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Pub. Section 6(b) of Pub. L. 92-205 requires that persons who engage in weather modification activities (e.g. cloud-seeding) provide reports prior to and after the activity. They are also required to maintain certain records. The requirements are detailed in 15 CFR 908. NOAA uses the data for scientific research, historical statistics, international reports, and other purposes.
