The existing Dam No. 5 Hydro Station Project consists of: (1) A 100-foot-long, 80-foot-wide headrace; (2) a brick and concrete powerhouse containing two generating units with a total installed capacity of 1,210 kilowatts; (3) a 250-foot-long, 90-foot-wide tailrace; (4) a substation; and (5) appurtenant facilities. The applicant estimates that the total average annual generation would be 5,945 megawatthours. All generated power is sold to Allegheny Power for use in the existing electric grid system serving West Virginia and Maryland. The project dam and reservoir are owned by the United States and operated by the National Park Service.

All reply comments must be filed with the Commission within 105 days from the date of this notice.
Anyone may obtain an extension of time for these deadlines from the Commission only upon a showing of good cause or extraordinary circumstances in accordance with 18 CFR 385.2008.
