Abstract: The NSPS for Secondary Lead Smelters, published at 40 CFR part 60, subpart L, were proposed on June 11, 1973, and promulgated on March 8, 1974. These standards apply to affected facilities at secondary lead smelters facilities including: pot furnaces of more than 250 kg (550 lb) charging capacity, blast (cupola) furnaces, and reverberatory furnaces that commenced construction or modification after June 11, 1973.
