This prototype edition of the daily Federal Register on FederalRegister.gov will remain an unofficial informational resource until the Administrative Committee of the Federal Register (ACFR) issues a regulation granting it official legal status. The OFR/GPO partnership is committed to presenting accurate and reliable regulatory information on FederalRegister.gov with the objective of establishing the XML-based Federal Register as an ACFR-sanctioned publication in the future. While every effort has been made to ensure that the material on FederalRegister.gov is accurately displayed, consistent with the official SGML-based PDF version on govinfo.gov, those relying on it for legal research should verify their results against an official edition of the Federal Register. Until the ACFR grants it official status, the XML rendition of the daily Federal Register on FederalRegister.gov does not provide legal notice to the public or judicial notice to the courts.

An open meeting of the Area 6 Committee of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel will be conducted in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) is soliciting public comments, ideas, and suggestions on improving customer service at the Internal Revenue Service. The TAP will use citizen input to make recommendations to the Internal Revenue Service.

App. (1988) that an open meeting of the Area 6 Committee of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel will be held Thursday, September 18, 2003, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, September 19, 2003, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday's meeting will be held in conjunction with IRS's Tax Forum at the Rio Hotel in Seminar Room 4. Friday's meeting will be held at the Coyote Café at the MGM Grand Hotel. The public is invited to make oral comments on Thursday, September 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Individual comments will be limited to 5 minutes.
