Notice. The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the following proposal for collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. chapter 35).

Type of Request: Reinstatement.

Number of Respondents: 16,700.

Responses per Respondent: 1.

Annual Responses: 16,700.

Average Burden per Response: 15 minutes.

Annual Burden Hours: 4,175.

Needs and Uses: This collection of information is used by the U.S. Marine Corps to provide a standardized method in rating officer program applicants in the areas of character, leadership, ability, and suitability for a service as a commissioned officer.

Affected Public: Individuals or households.

Frequency: On occasion.

Respondent's Obligation: Voluntary.
