As part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork burden and as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, the Federal Communications Commission invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on the following information collection(s). Comments are requested concerning: Whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the Commission, including whether the information shall have practical utility; the accuracy of the Commission's burden estimate; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on the respondents, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology; and ways to further reduce the information burden for small business concerns with fewer than 25 employees. The FCC may not conduct or sponsor a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. No person shall be subject to any penalty for failing to comply with a collection of information subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) that does not display a valid OMB control number.
Written Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) comments should be submitted on or before November 4, 2013. If you anticipate that you will be submitting PRA comments, but find it difficult to do so within the period of time allowed by this notice, you should advise the FCC contact listed below as soon as possible.

Nature and Extent of Confidentiality: No information is requested that would require assurance of confidentiality.
Needs and Uses: The Commission will submit this information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) after this 30 day comment period in order to obtain the full three year clearance from them. The Commission is requesting a revision (there has been a program change in the reporting, recordkeeping requirements and/or third party disclosure requirements, the number of respondents/operators increased from 100 to 2,620, therefore, the annual burden and cost has also increased). The Commission is requesting OMB approval for a revision.
On May 24, 2012, the Commission released a Report and Order, ET Docket No. 08-59, FCC 12-54, Amendment of Parts 2 and 95 of the Commission's rules which revised the requirements for manufacturers of transmitters for the “Medical Device Radiocommunication Service” to include with each transmitting device a statement regarding harmful interference and to label the device in a conspicuous location on the device. The Report and Order also adopted rules for “Medical Body Area Network” (MBAN), which requires the Commission to establish a process by which MBAN users will register and coordinate the use of certain medical devices. The frequency coordinator will make the database available to equipment manufacturers and the public. The coordinator will also notify users of potential frequency conflicts.Start Signature
