SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Title: 49 U.S.C. 5320 Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Program (OMB Number: 2132-0574).

Abstract: This collection involves FTA's Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Program. This program is necessary because it addresses the challenge of increasing traffic pollution and crowding in and around our National parks and other federal lands. To address these concerns, this program has provided more than $163 million in funding for alternative transportation systems, such as shuttle buses, rail connections and even bicycle trails. On October 1, 2013, the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Program was repealed Start Printed Page 13949by Congress under the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21). However, to meet federal program oversight responsibilities, FTA must continue to collect information under the program management stage until the period of availability expires; the funds are fully expended; the funds are rescinded by Congress; or the funds are otherwise reallocated.

Estimated Total Annual Burden: 370 hours.
