Notice of public meetings and hearings.


The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) will hold a meeting of its Social Science Planning Committee (SSPC) to discuss and make recommendations on relevant issues in Hawaii and the Western Pacific region.


The SSPC meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Hawaii Standard Time. For agenda, see SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION.

Action will be restricted to those issues specifically listed in this notice and any issues arising after publication of this notice that require emergency action under section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Act, provided the public has been notified of the Council's intent to take final action to address the emergency.
