Notice of meetings.


The National Advisory Committee for Implementation of the National Forest System Land Management Planning Rule Committee (Committee) will meet in Washington, DC. Attendees may also listen via webinar and/or conference call. The Committee operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). Additional information relating to the Committee, including the meeting summary/minutes, can be found by visiting the Committee's website at:​main/​planningrule/​committee.


The meetings will be held in-person and streamed via webinar/conference call on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
  • Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
  • Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST

The meeting will be held at the USDA Forest Service, International Programs Office, 1 Thomas Circle NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20005. Written comments may be submitted as described under SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION. The purpose of this meeting is to:

1. Continue deliberations on formulating advice for the Secretary;

2. Discuss Committee work group findings;

3. Hear public comments; and

4. Conduct administrative tasks.

This meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include time for people to make oral comments of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral comment should submit a request in writing by January 26, 2018, to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the Committee may file written statements with the Committee's staff before or after the meeting.
