Notice of Federal advisory committee meeting.


We are announcing an upcoming Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Advisory Committee meeting in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the second United States Open Government National Action Plan.


The meeting will be on December 10, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST. You must register by 11:59 p.m. EST December 8, 2020, to attend the meeting.


This meeting will be held virtually. We will send instructions on how to access it to those who register according to the instructions below.

Agenda and meeting materials: We will post all meeting materials at​ogis/​foia-advisory-committee/​2020/​2022-term. This will be the second meeting of the fourth committee term. The purpose of this meeting will be to hear a presentation about FOIA and classified records; to hear updates from the four Subcommittees: Classification, Legislation, Process, and Technology; and to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on FOIA processing.

Procedures: This virtual meeting is open to the public. You must register in advance through the Eventbrite link https://foiaac-mtg-dec-10/​ if you wish to attend, and you must provide an email address so that we can provide you information to access the meeting online.
